Natasha started her first business at a young age, selling handmade beaded jewelry in between classes at her ballet school. Unaware of the future trend, she was ahead of the curve with pop-up retail! She turned her love for business and product into a career and over the next almost two decades, Natasha became a corporate retail merchandising executive, shop owner, and venture backed tech start-up founder.
Natasha gained a strong foundation leading retail merchandising in-house at Fortune 500 organizations, and in 2014, gave into her entrepreneurial curiosity and pursued her dream of opening a lifestyle store in her hometown, San Francisco. Her winning formula of hailing bespoke and coveted brands from Scandinavia, Korea, Japan, etc, and launching a private label jewelry line and in-house merch made her profitable within her first year of business. It was in her 500 sq ft shop where she discovered how community, style, and design come together to create magic and where she first wrote her newsletter, Tash’s Corner.
In 2020, with the rise of loneliness driven by the pandemic, Natasha co-founded a venture-backed mindfulness start-up that offered modern wellness products and mindset personal training for the workplace and started to explore what retail could look like in different spaces. She began consulting on a retail project in hospitality with Solage Spa, an Auberge Resorts Collection property. Within a year, Natasha’s role expanded beyond retail to include designing and curating products (industry known as OS&E) and styling them across the property. With each property having its own soul of the place, it’s her love for connecting and creating with artisans and makers globally and her attention to detail, expertise, and intuition that helps her set one property apart from another. Most recently to date, Natasha has created these memorable guest touchpoints for Auberge’s newest nine openings and is currently their Director of OS&E Design & Retail at Auberge Resorts Collection, as well as a freelance creative consultant.
Whether it’s in her career or personal life, Natasha embodies the true essence of a merchandiser, in that her personal style on her body and in her home tells a story of her values and priorities. She believes that curating an intentional life is beautifully nuanced, consistently evolving, and pragmatically layered.
